PETER McKILLOP

Peter was born August 21, 1992. He is the youngest of 4 siblings. He grew up in Vernon and Victoria BC and currently lives in Vernon where he attends Vernon Secondary School and is in Grade 11. Music has always been a passion for Peter who began singing at age 12 and added the guitar when he was 15. His dramatic style and comfortable personality have allowed him to perform in numerous plays and concerts around Vernon. He truly has a passion for music and spends several hours per day perfecting his sound. Peter has taken voice training from Betty Anne Northup as well as guitar training from James Taylor and is currently studying Flamenco guitar along with other folk/gypsy styles with Lance Carr.

During the summer of 2009 Peter could be seen on the streets of downtown Vernon busking and performing at Gallery Vertigo. He has taken a few turns at the open mike performances at Blenz Coffee house. Some of Peter's inspirations include, many Motown musicians, such as Ray Charles, and Stevie Wonder, also he has many folk inspirations, people like Bob Dylan and Paul Simon. Peter hopes to continue his music career and perhaps enhance it with further professional training following high school.
